THE WAVE
THE WAVE is a new musical based on the 1967 experiment, in which a history teacher turned an entire high school into a proto-fascist movement in just 5 days. The experiment was meant to simulate the German mentality during WWII, through simple daily doctrines involving discipline, community, action, and pride. Only 30 miles south of Haight and Ashbury during the "Summer of Love", Ron Jones was able to recreate the same mob mentality which envelops our society time and again through history. This story rings painfully true today, with the rise of the Alt Right in this country and certainly the rising wave of exclusionary views in Europe and the world at large.
